Visa launches “Four Seasons in Kyoto” experiential offers and privileges starting with cherry blossom season this spring

03/19/2019

Visa brings new offers and privileges for travelers to Kyoto and Japan beginning this March with Four Seasons in Kyoto experiential campaign. Just as the cherry blossom season begins, the offers and privileges encompass reservation at local favorite restaurants to cultural and heritage tours.

Working closely with the Kyoto City Tourist Board, Visa found that many inbound travelers to Kyoto seek to experience the city’s many historical attractions. The special Four Seasons in Kyoto starting with the cherry blossom festival this March,1 will enable Visa cardholders to experience Kyoto in all four seasons this year.

Visa has partnered with Voyagin, a well-known online travel reservation platform, to launch the Kyoto City Visa Offer. The offers comprise a series of distinctive travel experiences in the ancient capital including a half day tour to explore Sanzenin Temple, Raigoin Temple, and Hosenin Temple. The experiential offers also include Kyoto obanzai and nabemono traditional Japanese cooking class and kiyomizu ware pottery making experience at Kyoto Unraku-gama. All Visa cardholders are entitled to discount when purchasing the Kyoto package tours and activities on Voyagin. They can also enjoy special offers on EBISUYA Rickshaw’s Special plan “Kyoto Arashiyama tour” while enjoying breathtaking cherry blossom views.

Visa has collaborated with tastetrip, an online restaurant reservation platform in Japan, where gourmands can experience special privileges when dining at one of the participating restaurants. Visa cardholders are offered discounts on dining reservations at over 800 local establishments including “Kyoto Kitcho Arashiyama”, a Michelin three-star Japanese kaiseki restaurant, and the famous yudofu restaurant “Nanzenji Junsei”.

Visa also partners with popular retailers including BIC Camera, Kojima and Matsumoto Kiyoshi to provide exclusive shopping privileges for Hong Kong cardholders.
