  • Cardholders can now enjoy a quicker, simpler and more secure online checkout experience across their favourite retail brands without the hassle of manually entering their card details.
  • The partnerships with Adyen, AsiaPay, OpenRice, Worldpay and 2C2P enable Click to Pay across the payment ecosystem, including issuers, payment enablers and merchants, bringing a new and intuitive way for customers to shop online, powered by Visa.

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, today announced that major payment platforms in Hong Kong, namely Adyen, AsiaPay, OpenRice, Worldpay and 2C2P, have integrated Click to Pay across their merchant ecosystem, serving as key payment enablers for online retail networks. Visa cardholders can now enjoy a seamless and secure one-click checkout1 experience at their favourite lifestyle, travel and F&B online stores and platforms, eliminating the need to manually enter card details or remember passwords.

As eCommerce becomes the default for more shoppers, Click to Pay with Visa reduces checkout time to under one minute2. Registered cardholders can bypass the need to manually enter their 16-digit card number, skip form fields, and eliminate the need to remember passwords, all while ensuring their transactions remain secure. This minimises cart abandonment and drop-off rates for merchants, translating to higher authorisation rates, enhanced customer satisfaction, and increased conversions.

“Together with our payment partners and trusted brands that consumers know and love, we’re redefining online checkout with Visa Click to Pay—offering speed, simplicity, and security with just one click,” said Paulina Leong, General Manager of Hong Kong and Macau at Visa. “By removing friction from manual entry, shoppers can pay effortlessly and confidently, knowing their sensitive data is protected. Merchants enjoy higher customer satisfaction, stronger loyalty, and reduced fraud risk. We’re excited to welcome more merchants onboard to deliver smarter, safer payments and shape the future of commerce.”

One-click1 checkout now available across top brands

With Click to Pay now fully integrated across acquirer platforms, Visa cardholders only need to enrol once—through their bank’s mobile app where applicable, or participating merchant websites, or Visa website—to enjoy the benefits of one-click checkout across multiple online retailers. This seamless backend integration allows merchants to activate Click to Pay through their existing acquirers with minimal changes to their checkout flows. Through partnerships with Adyen, AsiaPay, OpenRice, Worldpay and 2C2P, Click to Pay is now live across some of Hong Kong’s most popular brands—including OpenRice, Columbia, Crocs, Hong Kong Duty Free, Marathon Sports, UGG and more3. Visa will continue to expand Click to Pay's reach, bringing frictionless checkout experiences to more Hong Kong merchants in the future.

"As the first partner in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific to launch Visa Click to Pay with the Visa Unified Click to Pay Solution, OpenRice is proud to pioneer this transformative checkout experience alongside Visa,” said Joe Yau, CEO at OpenRice. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to innovation, offering cardholders a fast and secure one-click payment option that elevates their culinary experience. Together with Visa, we are also fostering a more inclusive digital ecosystem where restaurants of all sizes can thrive, driving the future of frictionless dining and shared growth.”

To celebrate the launch of Visa Click to Pay on the OpenRice app, Visa cardholders can enjoy instant discounts on the platform. From now until 3 November 2025, users who spend HKD 80 or more on Voucher or Takeaway services via the OpenRice app—and pay with Click to Pay using a Visa card will receive an instant HKD 10 discount4.
